1969 Camaro Tail Lamps, Park Lamps & Side Markers: Rally Sport or Standard? Every Part by Number

1969 was the last year of the first-gen Camaro, and its lighting has its own part numbers, separate from the '67-'68 cars. The reproduction lighting for '69 is deep, and most of the parts below are in stock by the hundreds.

The catch is that a Rally Sport and a standard '69 use different tail lamp lenses, different housings and different gasket kits, and the parts look alike in a photo. So before you order anything, figure out which car you have.

Step 1: Find your back-up lights

This is the quickest test, and it comes straight from how the vendor describes the parts:

  • Back-up light built into the middle of the tail lamp lens (a white rectangle in the center section)? That's the standard lens. OER lists it for "1969 Camaro standard, SS, and Z28 models without the Rally Sport option." So an SS or a Z28 without RS uses the standard parts.
  • Back-up lights in their own housings on the lower rear body panel? That's a Rally Sport. The RS uses a different tail lens and two separate back-up lenses down low.

Not sure, or the car's been changed over the years? Send us a photo of the rear panel and we'll tell you which parts match it.

Step 2: Rear lamps, side by side

Standard / SS / Z28 (no RS) Rally Sport (RS)
Tail lamp lens 5961567 LH · 5961568 RH, or the pair 5961567-68 5960963 LH · 5960964 RH
Tail lamp housing 5961565 LH · 5961566 RH 5961747 LH · 5961748 RH
Back-up lens Part of the tail lamp lens K4756, two per car
Exterior lens gasket kit K726 (5 pieces, "except RS") K727 (7 pieces, Rally Sport)
Housing mounting hardware K552, one kit per side, two per car (same kit for both)

Tail lamp lenses

The standard lens (5961567 / 5961568) comes with the stainless outer trim and the two vertical stainless moldings between the three sections, with the white back-up section in the middle. If you're doing both sides, the 5961567-68 listing is the pair.

The RS lens (5960963 / 5960964) is an injection-molded UV acrylic assembly with stainless trim and factory-style "SAE" and "GUIDE" markings. OER notes it "includes molded rubber lens to body seal." Both lenses are sold per side.

Housings

If the housing behind the lens is cracked, or the mounting points are broken off, the reproduction housings are injection-molded ABS with factory-style mounting points and pre-cut bulb openings. Note what's not included: "Bulb socket, lenses, and bulbs are sold separately." The mounting studs and nuts are also separate. That's K552, which covers one housing, so plan on two.

RS back-up lenses

K4756 is the clear back-up lens for the RS housings on the lower rear panel, with correct factory markings. It's sold individually and you need two. The same lens was used as the cargo lamp lens on 1969-72 Chevy and GMC pickups, so if you see a truck in the listing title, that's why.

Gaskets

If you're replacing lenses anyway, OER recommends replacing the gaskets with them. Each kit covers the whole car:

  • K726, standard (except RS), 5 pieces: front park lamp gaskets (pair), rear tail-lamp-to-body gaskets (pair) and the license lamp gasket. Made in the USA.
  • K727, Rally Sport, 7 pieces: RS park light gaskets (pair), RS tail-light-to-body gaskets (pair), front side marker gaskets (pair) and the license lamp gasket. Made in the USA. Stock on this one is lighter than the rest, so grab it with your lenses.
  • K997 is a die-stamped neoprene bezel-to-body gasket pair listed for 1969 Camaro. The listing doesn't say RS or standard. If you're unsure whether you need it on top of a kit, ask us first.

Step 3: Front park lamps

The park lamp parts are listed for all 1969 Camaros. The difference for RS cars is a set of chrome trim rings.

  • 916911, a complete park lamp assembly. Housing, wiring with connector, clear lens and amber bulb, pre-assembled. Fits either side. Sold individually, two per car.
  • K658, just the clear lens (GM licensed, OE 5961467). OER says it installs on original GM or reproduction park lamp assemblies. Sold each, two per car.
  • K105, stainless park lamp trim rings for Rally Sport cars, sold as a pair. OER points RS owners to these from both the assembly and the lens listings.
  • K2532, park lamp housing gaskets for all models, the cushion between the housing and the grille. Sold as a pair.
  • 154003, the EPDM grommets where the park lamp wiring passes through the inner fender well. Listed for 1969 Camaro. Sold as a pair.

Step 4: Side markers

  • R5013 is the complete kit for all 1969 Camaros: 2 amber front lenses, 2 red rear lenses, 4 chrome bezels (2 front, 2 rear), 4 bezel-to-body gaskets and 8 speed nuts.
  • K996 is a single die-cast chrome front side marker bezel, if only one is pitted. It fits either side. OER notes the thread-cutting pal-nuts are sold separately.

Quick shopping list

  • Standard / SS / Z28, lenses only: 5961567 + 5961568 (or the 5961567-68 pair) + K726 gasket kit.
  • Rally Sport, lenses only: 5960963 + 5960964 + two K4756 back-up lenses + K727 gasket kit.
  • Housings too: add the matching LH/RH housings for your car plus two K552 hardware kits. Sockets and bulbs are separate.
  • Front end: two 916911 assemblies (or two K658 lenses on your originals) + K2532 gaskets. RS cars add K105 trim rings.

Browse everything in Tail Lamps, Park Lamps and Side Markers. If your car has been converted from standard to RS (or back), or anything here doesn't match what you're looking at, send us a photo before you order. We'd rather sort it out with you up front than have you deal with a return.
