Brake lines are easy to overlook until one weeps or rusts through, and on a 1984-1986 Mustang the originals are long overdue. This Right Stuff pre-bent stainless steel rear axle brake line kit covers the lines on the rear axle housing that feed each rear wheel, so the lines arrive shaped to the chassis and ready to install.
Why It's Worth It
- Pre-bent to fit, so there's no tubing bender, cutting or flaring.
- Bent on CNC benders with machine-formed flares for consistent ends.
- Stainless steel resists corrosion and keeps a bright natural finish.
- Steel tube nuts/fittings included.
- Specific to the 1984-1986 Mustang, not a universal roll of tubing.
Before You Order
- Covers the rear axle lines only; confirm your axle type and rear brake setup.
- Stainless is harder than mild steel, so tighten fittings carefully to seat the flares.
- Replacing old rubber hoses at the same time is good practice.
- Bleed the entire system after installation.
