Rear brake hoses on a 1967-69 Mustang or Cougar have been flexing with every bump for decades, and old rubber can swell inside and hold pressure on the shoes or make the pedal go soft. This Right Stuff rear brake flex hose set uses OE steel fittings, so you can replace the tired rubber without changing the factory look under the car.
Why It's Worth It
- Fresh hoses get rid of internal swelling and cracking that cause a soft pedal or dragging brakes
- OE steel fittings to match factory-style hardware
- Made for 1967-69 Ford Mustang and Mercury Cougar
- An inexpensive fix that belongs in any rear brake rebuild
Before You Order
- Confirm your car still runs its factory rear axle; a swapped rear end may need different hose routing
- Inspect the axle hard lines where they meet the hose, and replace them if they're rusted
- Use new clips at the brackets and bleed the whole system after installation
