Part Spotlight: The 1957 Bel Air/150/210/Nomad In-Dash Clock

Of everything we sell for the 1957 Chevy dash, the in-dash clock is one you might not expect to see on a best-seller list — but it's moved dozens of units this year alone, and it's easy to see why once you've seen an original dash without one: on a '57 Bel Air, 150, 210, or Nomad, that clock face is a factory-correct detail that's immediately noticeable when it's missing or non-functional.

What it actually is

This is a reproduction of the original in-dash clock assembly, designed for 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, 150, 210, and Del Ray/Nomad models. It's built to replicate the factory original in both appearance and function — correct black clock face with OE-style numerals — but with a modern quartz movement inside, so it actually keeps time reliably, unlike a 50-year-old mechanical clock mechanism. A mounting bracket is included.

One thing to know before you order

The clock itself doesn't include the wiring harness — if your dash doesn't already have one, or the original harness isn't serviceable, the matching clock wiring harness is a separate part (listed under part# TF900422). Worth checking what you've already got in the dash before assuming the clock alone completes the job.

Why it's worth doing right

A dash full of otherwise-correct gauges with a dead or missing clock is one of those details that stands out to anyone who knows the car — and a quartz movement means once it's in, it's done; no rebuilding a decades-old wind-up mechanism down the road. It's a small part of the dash, but it's the kind of correct-appearance detail that separates a driver from a real restoration.
