This module is for vehicles with a 12v door switch connection, like those used on many newer cars with remote entry and 1960s era Fords. Use part# RE13001 for vehicles with a ground connection at door switch like those used on most older cars including GMs from the 1960s. Use a voltmeter to test the voltage on the dome light when the dome light is off. If the voltmeter shows battery voltage, then the door switch supplies the ground connection (so you need pn 13001).
